Welcome to Vestergade

Welcome to Vestergade

Many years ago, we instantly fell in love with Rømø, and over the years, we have enjoyed numerous wonderful holidays on Rømo while our children were growing up.

Consequently, we decided to purchase our piece of paradise on Rømø. After three years of searching for various holiday homes, we finally came across our first house house, and after about a year, we noticed this house was up for sale, and bought that too to add to our new hobby of creating great holiday experiences for our guests.

We sincerely hope that it will also serve as the perfect dwelling for you during your stay, and we wish you the most enjoyable holiday imaginable on Rømø.

If you encounter any issues with the house, require assistance, or simply desire recommendations for activities, please do not hesitate to call or text us. We are fluent in English and Danish, and we can communicate at a basic level in German through text.

You can reach us at +4552342911 (Phone, Text, and WhatsApp) and by email: mwindfeld@gmail.com

We reside in Vejle, which is approximately an hour and 20 minutes away.

Best regards,

The Windfeld Family

Sports facilities (included in the price)

There are several sports facilities available at the property.

These include a tennis court, a football field, and a fenced basketball court.

The playground features a petanque court as well as a table tennis table.

We have tried to provide various equipment for using these facilities for our guests.

Unfortunately, these items tend to quickly disappear or become damaged. Therefore, we kindly ask our guests to bring along their own sports equipment for any activities they wish to enjoy during their stay.

If the lightning strikes close by or something else happen, you may need to turn the power back on.

Return the keys

  • Please put the key back in the keybox when you leave

Charge electric car

It is NOT allowed to charge an electric car from the house (and very dangerous).

There are 4-5 places on the island to charge your electric car.

Based on our research, the cheapest place to charge for foreigners is a 3-minute’ walk from the house (Google Maps location), but it may depend on your subscription and provider.

Expensive Food in Denmark

Food in Denmark is quite expensive compared to Germany. This is primarily because food in Denmark is not exempt from VAT, and Rømø is a holiday area where prices are also slightly increased.

Therefore, you can save some money by bringing food from Germany.

The house has a fairly large refrigerator (no freezer), a well-equipped kitchen with a stove and oven, and, not least, a grill in the courtyard.
